We love vids like these! Check out this vid about the Lampsilis mussels. The youngs of these mussels must go through a parasitic stage before continuing on in life. They have to attach themselves to the gills of fish, in this case a Bass, in order to suck the fish's blood before later dropping off and resuming their lives on the bottom of the stream. But how can an adult mussel get its young into a fish's gill if they can't move? They mimic one of the Bass's favourite fish, that's how! A fish that the mussels themselves have never seen considering mussels are blind! Nature. Fascinating...
