"Are we the only living things in the entire universe?" asks the narrator. We doubt it. Especially when you consider for every grain of sand on earth, there are 10,000 stars in the observable universe. That's a lot of stars! Trillions of them and even more planets. So where is everybody? Why haven't we seen any signs of alien lifeforms?
