Space firm creates ArcaBoard - a 'real hoverboard' - BBC News
A REAL hoverboard you say? Yup! Albeit, it's a bit cumbersome-looking but hey!, at least it has potential...
A US-based aerospace company says it has created a flying platform that lets its rider float above land and water. The aircraft has been dubbed the ArcaBoard - the firm appears to be avoiding calling it a "hoverboard" to avoid confusion with the controversial wheel-based vehicles. Since it posted a video showing several test flights, some news sites have questioned if the footage had been faked. But the man behind the project told the BBC that, apart from a little colour-correction, the video had been undoctored.

Floating lightbulb spins in mid-air
Cool...in a freakish kind of way! It would take some getting used to - having all these light bulbs 'floating' around on tables. Meet 'Flyte', the light bulb that levitates...
A crowdfunded light bulb that can float and spin in mid-air while switched on has been developed by a Swedish entrepreneur. Flyte raised more than $600,000 (£394,000) when it was listed on Kickstarter earlier this year, surpassing its target many times over.
The firm bills the gadget as combining the technologies of Edison and Tesla, but acknowledges that to pull off the effect there's an added toll.

Whales play under the Northern Lights in Norway - BBC News
It's one thing to experience the magnificent Northern Lights in Norway - it's another to experience it with a group of humpback whales basking underneath it as captured on camera by photographer Harald Albrigtsen, in Norway, who was testing a new Sony A7 camera (a camera that can take images in very low lighting conditions) off the coast of Kvaløya (Whale Island) near Tromsø. He called it “a dream for many” because witnessing whales splashing around under the beauty of the Aurora Borealis is very rare...
