40,000 years of London's history - all animated through paper. Fascinating. Great way of teaching history to students. This entire animated video was made out of paper and it was all inspired by the thousands of important archaeological artifacts discovered under the capital during work on the new Crossrail line...
Thousands of artifacts have been unearthed as a result of the construction of the new Crossrail transportation system in London. These paper animations will take you on a journey through the city's history—from the Stone Age to the present day.
Before construction can begin on the new Crossrail station, archaeologists must excavate the 16th-century cemetery that's beneath it. More than 3,300 skeletons, many of whom died from the plague, were exhumed from the old Bedlam cemetery. By taking DNA samples from a plague victim's tooth, scientists are able to study the plague pathogen that caused the death of more than 75,000 people in London and compare it with other samples to see how the disease has evolved over time.

It's been over 2 weeks since the official trailer came out for the movie 'The 33' (Spanish: Los 33), the 2015 Chilean-American biographical disaster-survival drama film, directed by Patricia Riggen and written by Mikko Alanne and José Rivera, and we've only discovered it now.The movie is based on that 2010 mining disaster in the San José Mine in Chile where 33 men were trapped for more than two months. Remember that incident? They were trapped 700 meters (2,300 ft) underground and about 5 kilometers (3 mi) from the mine's entrance! Now the film is due out for release in November 2015 which stars Antonio Banderas as Mario "Super Mario" Sepúlveda, who sent videos to the rescuers to notify them about the miners' condition.Even though we all know the outcome, we still can't wait to watch it...
Warner Bros. Pictures Did You Know...As a result of the mine's notorious history, it was originally thought that the workers had probably not survived the collapse or would starve to death before they were found, if ever.
The country of Chile had just endured the 2010 Chile earthquake and its associated tsunami less than six months before the accident.
The Chilean people's strong empathy for the workers and their grief-stricken families and the nation's tremendous outpouring of public concern led the national government to take over the faltering search and rescue operation from the mine's financially strapped owners, privately held San Esteban Mining Company. With the significant resources that the state-owned mining company, Codelco, was able to marshal, eight exploratory boreholes were hastily drilled. Seventeen days after the accident, on 22 August, a note written in bold red letters appeared taped to a drill bit when it was pulled to the surface after penetrating an area believed to be accessible to the trapped workers. It read simply "Estamos bien en el refugio, los 33" (English: "We are well in the shelter, the 33 of us"). Chileans demanded that Chile's leaders find a way to bring the trapped workers safely home to their waiting families.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are together again in a movie written and directed by Jolie herself in the film By The Sea and let's just say it won't be anything like their last action-packed film together - Mr & Mrs. Smith. The film is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2015, by Universal Pictures...
Lol. Loving the lame special effects! If you have an hour or so, watch this rarely-seen footage of The Fantastic Four (1994), the unreleased low-budget superhero film completed more than a decade before Fox released their own big budget blockbuster featuring the same Marvel characters. It was produced by low-budget specialist Roger Corman and Bernd Eichinger, who went on to produce another Fantastic Four movie in 2005. The film, which some say, would have been awesome in the 70s.
The Fantastic Four movie should never have been made or seen. "It was made so whoever had the rights to the Fantastic Four movie, could hold on to the rights." So basically they grabbed Roger Corman requesting him to "make a Fantastic Four movie as cheaply as you possibly can" and cheap they got...
