These refugee children remind us how to see a Canadian winter with the innocence of a child. They have been extremely grateful for everything our country has to offer, including the warmth and generosity of a true Canadian welcome.
"The cost of living in Kuwait is high," responded Kuwaiti researcher Fahd Al-Shelaimi, when recently asked what was preventing them from accepting the Syrian refugees. We were always curious why the Gulf States wouldn't let the fleeing Syrian refugees in - now we know. Basically, they can't accept them because they're too poor. The Chairman of the Gulf Forum for Peace and Security further stated, "At the end of the day, you cannot accept other people, who come from a different atmosphere."
