Syrian Children Experience Snow in Ontario

Great choice of music! Watch these Syrian children enjoying the snow - tobagganing for the first time in Canada, that will surely put a smile on your face. The video was shot on Saturday by OPP Const. David McNab showing the  siblings Ansam, 13, Ibrahim, 10, and Dalya, 9, playing and sledging down Peterborough’s Armour Hill after the region’s first big snowfall for the year...

Snow is a new experience but fun in any language looks the same. These refugee children remind us how to see a Canadian winter with the innocence of a child. They have been extremely grateful for everything our country has to offer, including the warmth and generosity of a true Canadian welcome.

Snow? Whaaaaat?

They say this little cutie would make a great Republican, lol. What do you think? Dad is trying to explain where snow comes from but this little one isn't buying it. Did she really say 'You guys are bunch of idiots' around 40 seconds into the vid??...

Franciscan Monks in snowball fight Jerusalem February 2015

Which just goes to show you - anyone can have a good game of snowball fighting, even these Franciscan monks in Jerusalem. It seems everyone is getting a taste of winter these days too!...

Parts of the Middle East have been inundated with snow lately. In Instanbul, Turkey the snowfall broke a 28-year record after 75 cm fell in western portions of the city.
The rare snowfall was enough to close streets and halt traffic in and out of Jerusalem and its surrounding area.
"It's a magic wonderland," Miriam Leibowitz, a Jerusalem resident, told reporters last week.
"In the middle of Jerusalem we felt like like we're in Switzerland."

Snow shoveling West Virginia style. Life hack!

His intentions were good but we're not sure if this life hack would be any better than the alternative; the snow has to be a certain consistency, you're bending all the time and how does it work on asphalt? Either way, this vid has racked up over 2M views on YouTube...

EPIC CATCH!!! Dashing Thru the Snow - CN Train 406 West at Salisbury, NB (Feb 3, 2015)

Truly epic! That's one way to clear a path in a hurry! Great capture of CN train hurdling through the snow like a boss, in New Brunswick. The show must go on! This vid has received over 2M views already!...

Canadian National Railway locomotive 2304 (ES44DC) plows through huge snow drifts and gives me a big ass snow shower as it leads the daily CN manifest train 406 West (Moncton, NB to Saint John, NB) at Salisbury, New Brunswick.
I'm not sure how the train crew can even see with all that snow on the locomotive's nose!
Southern New Brunswick was hit with three major blizzards in less than a week, and there is more snow in the forecast.

Why chihuahuas don't run on the snow?

Well that wasn't nice! Poor Pancho. Good thing no chihuahua was harmed in the making of this vid! Is that snow in Italy?? This vid was from a year ago - and it's viralling once again with almost 1.5M views...

Bao Bao's First Snow Day!

Aaaw. Look at Bao Bao having fun on his first snow day. How adorable!

Jan. 6, 2015—As the year’s first blanket of snow coated the Washington, D.C. area today, giant panda Bao Bao spent much of the morning playing in it for the very first time. The sixteen month-old panda cub tumbled down the hill in her outdoor enclosure, climbed trees and pounced on her mother Mei Xiang.

Extreme Winter Snow Tunnel

If you want to build a snow tunnel like this, according to the uploader of this vid, you have at least 1 foot of snow. Buffalo anyone? Anyways, this old vid from 2007 is viralling because this snow fort is just so cool!
It was made in  Alberta, Canada using a tractor, and taking the better part of 3 days to build. We're getting too claustrophobic just watching this...

Buffalo Lake Effect

We are roughly 20 mins away and received hardly any snow, yet our poor neighbours to the South - Buffalo, NY, were buried in snow - more than 150 centimetres already fell with another 30 to 60 centimetres expected by Thursday! This time-lapse vid of a lake effect was captured from Alfonzo Cutaia's office window yesterday...
