The legal de-horning took place at the Kragga Kamma Game Park in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, after rangers called in Dr William Fowlds and his team to save the rhinos from poachers.
But after the horns were removed, they were all amazed to discover the imprint of a heart left on one rhino’s snout.

During the first dive of the Okeanos Explorer 2016 Hohonu Moana: Exploring Deep Waters off Hawaii expedition to explore on the northeast side of Necker Island, the Deep Discoverer remotely operated vehicle encountered this octopus, which confused several of our shore based scientists who have never seen anything like it. Upon further review, this ghostlike octopod is almost certainly an undescribed species and may not belong to any yet-described genus.

Holy smokes! What a find!...
National Geographic grantee Federico Fanti and his research team discovered a giant Cretaceous crocodile skeleton in southern Tunisia. The fossil dates back 130 million years ago. The head of the crocodile alone is over 5 feet long. The discovery proves that this animal lived 25 million years past the hypothesized global extinction.

Man finds dead mouse in Subway sandwich
![]() |
| Facebook | Matt Jones |
"It was unfortunate I was the lucky recipient," Jay Armstead told KGW after discovering how close he came to chomping on a dead mouse. "It was wet and dead. His tail was curled up and you could see his two front teeth."
Matt Jones saw the dead animal in his friend Jay’s sandwich and snapped the photo that has now gone viral across the country. “It’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen, but it’s also the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen,” Jones said, recalling his initial reaction. “I laughed because I was like, there is no way this just happened.”
The incident took place in a Subway located at 4648 US Highway 101 in Lincoln City, Oregon on Tuesday, October 6th.
