RIDING THE STELVIO PASS

Stelvio Pass in Italy is not the longest, toughest or even the highest paved mountain pass to drive but it is said to be one of the most memorable - with it's ever-changing scenery. This lucky guy had a chance to ride it via his KTM 990 SMT bike...

  Fast Fact(s):
  • The road was built in the 1820s and took five years to complete
  • Fighting took place along the pass during the First World War
  • Also known as SS38, the total distance of the route is 22km
  • Due to weather, it is closed from November to May
  • Located high in the Alps, the road sits 2,758 metres above sea level
