Crazy car pileup in Montreal. Bus Police and Snowplow!

All we need now is that Bennie Hill theme (see 2nd vid) playing in the background and we're all set!
Wow. Where do we start with this one. They call it the mother of all pile-ups when it comes to slippery, snow-covered road collisions.
This street in Montreal was a challenge not only for cars and buses but for all those who came to the rescue - police cars, snowplows and trucks! And it was all caught on camera by uploader Willem Shepherd who had just settled into his office that morning. It began when he saw a bus sliding slowly down the hill...

Got to work and there was an insane pileup happening outside.
Accident happened at 10am on Dec 5, Beaver Hall and Viger in Montreal

Willem Shepherd

The bus sliding down the hill eventually crashes into a group of four cars at the bottom. Moments later, a taxi narrowly avoided hitting the bus, but a pickup truck was not so lucky, and the bus lurched forward under the impact.
That wasn't the end of the madness.
Not even close.
Another city bus made its way down the hill, but, like most of the other vehicles on this road, it soon lost control.
That bus crashed into the truck, forcing it out of the way, and then hit the first bus still at the bottom of the hill.
A police vehicle trying to come to the rescue followed, sliding into the second city bus.
A snow plow came next, but even that truck couldn't maintain control on the slippery hill.
"Get out of the car!" someone can be heard shouting in the video as a snow plow careers towards the police vehicle.
(It eventually hit the police car.) - thespec

Fight Breaks Out at Mississauga Costco Parking Lot

This one hits close to home so we're just sharing it.
The people of W̶a̶l̶m̶a̶r̶t̶ Costco. Costco, reaching people like no other store can. Sorry, but this is absolutely ridiculous. All this over a parking spot?...

Fight Breaks Out at Mississauga Costco Parking Lot. (Video courtesy of facebook.com/carreiroteam

The video is absolutely crazy and shows a man violently shoving a woman to the ground and a man bleeding heavily from his forehead. While Peel police were called to the scene of the brawl, no charges were laid. The lesson here? The world is full of parking spots and no slice of pavement is worth fighting over—especially when there are children nearby.

Just coming out to my car to go home and a Brawl Breaks Out in a Costco Parking Lot in Mississauga#crazy #parkingwars #costco I find out later after giving the video to police no charges were laid. Thus is the original uncut Video.

SHOCKING: Here’s why Canada’s largest water bomber wasn’t “available” in Fort Mac

On one hand we're hearing the company that owns it wasn't asked by Alberta government officials to make it available to fight fires in Alberta - on the other hand, some are saying it wouldn't have mattered anyways because the fire was too hot and the water would have evaporated before it even reached it, or the bomber was TOO BIG to scoop up water from the nearest lake. We don't know who or what to believe...

Sheila Gunn Reid looks into the question many are asking about why the Martin Mars, Canada’s largest water bomber, wasn't made available in the devastating Fort Mac wildfire nicknamed “The Beast” by Fort Mac fire chief Darby Allen.

Family watches Fort McMurray Home Burn from Doorbell security

Wow. Scary stuff folks, watching what it's like for your home to be destroyed by an out-of-control fire - from the inside via a security camera...

When thousands fled the flames in Fort McMurray Tuesday most wondered if they’d ever see their homes again.

James O’Reilly didn’t have to wonder—he watched his home of almost 20 years burn to the ground on his iPhone.

The video — shot by an indoor security camera about twenty minutes after O’Reilly and his wife had just barely enough time to grab some clothing and go — starts with a clear view of their living room, front window and two clown fish in a tank.

“We’re better than most,” he said. “We made it through, and we have our camper, so we have a home on the road.”

The original 5 minute video has been sped up.

Dramatic Aerial Footage Shows Burning Wooden Railway Bridge In Canada

According to the Telegraph, Canadian police have opened an investigation into the cause of the fire which later destroyed the bridge...

The train trestle near Mayerthorpe Alberta, Canada, caught fire April 26 2016. Filmed from the cockpit of a Pipistrel Virus SW aircraft
This trestle has been standing since the early 1900's. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Water bombers were dispatched from Whitecourt (CYZU) airport, as the fire spread from the structure to the surrounding vegetation, approximately 30 minutes after this film was shot.
This trestle connects the Alberta industrial towns of Blueridge and Whitecourt to the rest of the Canadian rail system. It is used mainly to transport bulk Lumber products, bulk gravel, and petroleum products. It will definitely take a strong effort to re-connect the rail system in a timely manner to serve the communities once again by rail.
The "Little Paddle" river runs under the destroyed trestle, and can occasionally flood heavily.
Filmed by Jonas Boll, and his son Ryan Boll (depending on which window the camera was pointed out of)

A natural blonde: Unique raccoon shows up at Nova Scotia shelter

A blonde raccoon? Well we wouldn't have believed it if we hadn't seen it for ourselves. Check her out. What a rare sight. Let's hope no one mistakes her for a fox later when she's released back into the wild...

Many think she may look like a fox, but a blonde raccoon staying at an animal shelter in Seaforth, N.S. is an even rarer sight.

Real life prison break! Inmates escape Canada jail by helicopter

Footage released on March 17 showed two inmates at a Canadian jail pulling off their own version of "The Great Escape", fleeing Quebec’s St-Jérôme jail by clinging to a cord attached to a helicopter. The two accomplices hijacked the helicopter and forced it to fly to the jail. The two men were recaptured a few hours after their escape.

From cbc:
A video showing a helicopter escape of two inmates in 2013 from a detention centre  in St-Jérôme, Que., was unveiled today during the trial of Hells Angels sympathizer Benjamin Hudon-Barbeau.
Hudon-Barbeau, 38, is accused of participating in a series of unrelated crimes in the province's Laurentians region in the fall of 2012 relating to a drug turf war. He pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and three counts of attempted murder.

Calgary Zoo’s New Baby Gorilla Has Arrived!

Oh my! Look at them both. How beautiful!...

Mother and baby doing just fine (Video snapshot)

After months of waiting, the Calgary Zoo is thrilled to announce that they have a new baby Western Lowland gorilla!

New mom Kioja went into labor in the evening of Wednesday, March 9, and gave birth at approximately 9:30 p.m. With our staff keeping a 24-hour watch on the proceedings, we are pleased to say that so far Kioja has been showing consistent signs of being a great mother.

After giving birth she immediately scooped up her new little one and has been carrying the baby with her as she moves about her habitat, resting with it on her chest.

The zookeepers were heartened to see signs of the baby nursing, as well as Kioja showing it affection and checking on it consistently.

Good samaritans rescue deer off icy lake in northern Ontario

At one point, we think the deer finally realized they were trying to help and stopped putting up a struggle - either that or his butt was frozen from being dragged across the frozen lake. Wonder how he ended up that far in the first place?? Great rescue guys!...

Syrian Children Experience Snow in Ontario

Great choice of music! Watch these Syrian children enjoying the snow - tobagganing for the first time in Canada, that will surely put a smile on your face. The video was shot on Saturday by OPP Const. David McNab showing the  siblings Ansam, 13, Ibrahim, 10, and Dalya, 9, playing and sledging down Peterborough’s Armour Hill after the region’s first big snowfall for the year...

Snow is a new experience but fun in any language looks the same. These refugee children remind us how to see a Canadian winter with the innocence of a child. They have been extremely grateful for everything our country has to offer, including the warmth and generosity of a true Canadian welcome.

14 YEARS OLD HOMELESS KID IN MONTREAL! ( SOCIAL EXPERIMENT )

Yes, it's another 'homeless' social experiment video. We never get tired of watching people's reaction to the homeless - sometimes it's appalling and other times it's so touching it makes you cry. In fact, this particular one made headlines when a homeless person, Putulik Qumaq, originally from Cape Dorset in Nunavut and who has been living on the streets of Montreal for 17 years, gave up his coat to another homeless person - a kid he saw standing outside in the cold begging for money...

Angels We Have Heard On High | Woman Playing Chimes in Bell Tower Goes Viral

Wow! What a workout! Can you imagine how hard this must be? In order to ring the chimes, Glenda Watt of Nova Scotia, must climb a steep, 10-metre ladder into the bell tower just to get to it... and no, her well-sculpted physique isn't from ringing those bells but rather from another type of bells - barbells. She's a personal fitness trainer...

She began posting videos to YouTube and Facebook to show her family and friends exactly how the music is made. After repeated requests to share her videos, Watt made them public, but she said she typically receives about 20 or 30 views per upload.

But for reasons unknown, a rendition of the Christmas classic Angels We Have Heard on High, posted Friday, has gone viral — garnering over 1.4 million views.

“I have no idea what happened,” said Watt. “I’m watching these conversations about my ponytail —about my running back and forth — in all these languages, and it’s bizarre. I don’t know, I don’t know how this one took off like that. It’s a little overwhelming.”
