SHOCKING: Here’s why Canada’s largest water bomber wasn’t “available” in Fort Mac
On one hand we're hearing the company that owns it wasn't asked by Alberta government officials to make it available to fight fires in Alberta - on the other hand, some are saying it wouldn't have mattered anyways because the fire was too hot and the water would have evaporated before it even reached it, or the bomber was TOO BIG to scoop up water from the nearest lake. We don't know who or what to believe...

Amazing Airplane Safety System! ...You Will Love This
What a great idea but... what about the pilots? We guess they'll have to abandon the cockpit and join the rest in the cabin. A questionnaire they did showed, that 95% of people would buy a more expensive ticket if it meant a chance for salvation!...
According to ICAO, over the past 10 years there are 8 % of all accidents happen during takeoff, landing – 21 %, cruising flights – 71 %. The analysis of causes of accidents shows that 75% of them happen because of human factor, other - because of omission of aeromechanics.
To reduce the influence of human factor by rising up safety of airplanes is impossible.
The new principles of aircraft construction are needed - possibility of collective rescuing by evacuation of them from crashing airplane in the range from several hundreds of meters to several kilometers.
In patents #88319(19) UA and #144783 RU owned by Tatarenko Vladimir Nikolaevich such aircraft construction is offered, which provides separation of the lower part of the fuselage with situated there passengers and their luggage, gradual decline of separated part and its soft landing (splashdown), afterwards providing an opportunity for its searching and finding by rescuers.

Porta Estel·lar
Want to go on an intense cosmic journey inside a modified plane that is sure to leave you wanting more? Then check out the '‘Porta Estel-lar’ installation by PlayMID which uses sonic perspective effects and an 8-channel audio system to give you an out-of this-world interstellar ride of your life...
Porta Estel·lar (the catalan for Star Gate), by PlayMID, is an immersive light and sound installation inside a plane. This video is a document of the set-up made on Barcelona's Ciutadella park during september of 2015.
Through the creation of visual and sound sequences that suggest the idea of interstellar travel, audience flies to outer space in an intense trip, from departure and takeoff to the sighting of comets, planets, galaxies and alien worlds, until finally returning safe to earth.
The plane itself is an art project from Eduardo Cajal, http://www.trashumante.org/, who bought, transformed and adapted the plane to hold this kind of art performances inside it.

Girl thrown off (American Airlines) flight after alleged bullying by male flight attendant
"You just lost a lot of customers," said one passenger, "Screw this airlines", said another.
This Oregon woman was asked to leave the plane for really no good reason we could read, and you could hear the passengers booing as she was being led off. According to the uploader's description:
"This poor girl didn't hear Tim (in aisle) the flight attendant ask her to move to let someone else by. Tim then yelled for her to move and it upset her, yet she still apologized to Tim. After sitting, the girl mentioned to a different attendant Tim was rude to her. Next thing we know, the girl is thrown off the plane. After the flight about 20 of us grabbed the pilot at the gate and complained. That shear number proves Tim was just being an ass. USAir/American flight 408 (Phoenix to Portland) Oct 11, 2015."

Delta Plane Lightning Strike
This brief lightning strike was captured on film by YouTuber Jack Perkins who just happened to be filming the row of planes grounded in Atlanta on August 18, 2015 when the direct hit occurred to the Delta 737 plane, Air Lines flight 67. Now the video has gone viral with over 1.5M views...
According to Delta spokesman Morgan Durrant, at least 111 passengers and six crew members were on board the plane when the lightning struck. No one was injured in the incident.
“Aircraft design allows lightning bolts to be safely redirected,” Durrant told Atlanta AJC newspaper.
“Fuselage structure and industrial-grade insulation acts as [a] super-conductive lightning rod that rechannels lightning around and away from customers and crew and out into the ground via the landing gear.” - rt

Dad Takes 4-year-old On Her FIRST AEROBATIC FLIGHT. Reaction: PRICELESS
Dad, Raphael Langumier, captured this vid of his 4-year-old daughter, Lea's 'giggly' reaction on her first aerobatic flight. Where most would be terrified, Lea was giggling all the way! The vid which has now gone viral, was taken near Montreal in Quebec, Canada...
It’s little surprise that Lea is a natural flyer. Not only is her father the president of his own aviation company in Quebec, but her mother was working as a flight attendant while pregnant with Lea.
She made her first flight at the age of two, but had never tasted the thrill of aerobatics until, a few months ago, she told her father she was ready for her first stunt flight.
Raphael prepared her for the flight by taking her in his arms and simulating the stomach-churning twists and turns.
"I wanted to make sure she wouldn't panic in the air," Langumier told CBC News Montreal.
"But I really just wanted to make sure it would be a pleasant experience for her."
Raphael needn’t have worried. Even as he brings the plane in to land, Lea yells “Encore!”
“Next time,” he assures her. - home.bt

The better way to board an airplane
As this vid starts off explaining, a lot of airlines have passengers boarding the back seats first and work towards the front because it seems to make a lot more sense. But in reality, this takes more time. A lot more time. Actually, the most time, than boarding the plane by any of the other ways shown. It was interesting to discover also from watching this vid, that on Southwest planes, people could sit wherever they want after boarding in order of check in....

Passengers Get Out And Push Plane Stuck On Ice In Siberia
Move along. Just another really, really cold day in Siberia. These passengers couldn't wait for help when the plane's wheels got stuck on the ice (after sitting on the tarmac for 24 hours), so what did they do? Got out and give the plane a shove!
Sometimes, you just gotta to do what you gotta do. The temps outside were a bone-chilling -52 degrees weather too! Ouch! Just like a boss...
