Isolated - Now in High Quality! (Full Documentary)

You know how we love documentaries even though we rarely find time to watch one in its entirety. We came across this interesting documentary on the Zo'é people, a native tribe living deep in the Amazon in Brazil, that are slowly emerging from isolation. Check out the ‘m’berpót’, they ALL wear - a long wooden plug piercing the lower lip. It marks one of the most important ceremonies as a ritualistic rite of passage for young boys and girls...

Immediately identifiable by their long lip plugs, the Zo’é first met outsiders in 1982, when evangelical missionaries made contact. Decimated by disease soon after, their numbers are now growing again.
