Bird's eye view of world famous Knob Creek night shoot

Yowza! That's a lot of machine guns in one place all going off at once! The Machine Gun Shoot is a bi-annual event, typically held on the second weekend of April and October and Ben Philippi of Guns.com shot some awesome footage of the world-famous Knob Creek machine gun night shoot in West Point, Kentucky earlier this week...

For the sixth year running, I attended the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot in West Point, Kentucky. It’s a biannual event that attracts more than 20,000 people and hundreds of machine gun owners who bring their wares and LOTS of ammo. It’s a spectacular show that should be attended by everyone at least once in their lifetime.

I’ve gotten to know the Sumner family who run the event and they were good enough to let me fly my camera-equipped drone over the night shoot. An estimated 50,000 rounds are fired during the 15 minute volley, many of them tracers aimed at exploding fuel drums, cars, boats and tannerite. The video footage is definitely worth watching.
