Why Do I Hate The Sound Of My Own Voice?

Yes, why? Apparently it has to do with vibrations - normally we hear our voice filtered through our flesh and bone, resulting in lower frequency vibrations which creates a full, deep tone. However, when we hear ourselves in a recording, well that's just a whole different sounding vibration all together...

Have you ever heard a recording of yourself played back and thought, "Ugh. Why do I sound like that?!" It’s weird right?  The recorded sound of your voice usually makes you cringe because of two ways vibrations reach your ear.
