These are 'longevity noodles' — a delicious Chinese dish that's eaten for good luck

Interesting. Never heard of these noodles before... or should we say a NOODLE, because it's not many noodles but one long, continuous noodle - that we wish we could eat right now...

Time Out ranked Xi'an Famous Foods the second-best Chinese restaurant in the US.
We were invited into their kitchen, where David Shi, the founder and chef, demonstrated how to make "longevity noodles," a hand-pulled noodle that is one long noodle. It's a sign of good fortune and good luck to eat, but be careful not to cut or break it.

Yah. How come Canada switched to metric and they didn't?? Albeit, we go back and forth between metric and imperial all the time, but why haven't the US changed over completely to the metric system also? Well, we'll let Bill Nye try to explain that one...

The US hasn't fully adopted the metric system but "Unstoppable" author Bill Nye says some of the measurement is "creeping in." Here is his theory on why we haven't made the switch.

Try a Mean Fiddler: Star bartender, from Wall Street's Dead Rabbit pub, makes us his favorite drink

Whoa! They don't call it MEAN Fiddler for nothing! Check out some of the ingredients: Green Spot Irish Whiskey, Green Chartreuse, Sweet Vermouth, cinnamon.... and then check out later why the Dead Rabbit pub was named the Best American Cocktail Bar (among other things), in the 2nd vid below...

In 2013, at age 24, Jack McGarry was named International Bartender of the Year by the industry standard-bearer, Tales of the Cocktail. He was the youngest person ever to win the award.
McGarry is co-founder of one of the hottest bars on the global cocktail scene, The Dead Rabbit, in the Wall Street area of New York City.
Here he shares the recipe for his current favorite drink, the Mean Fiddler.

Dead Rabbit isn't what you might expect.

A small, disarming Irish pub steeped in history, it is one of the most talked-about bars of the global cocktail scene. The upstairs Parlor bar, if you can get in, features an ever-evolving menu of some of the most of-the-moment cocktails.

In recent times, Dead Rabbit, or its founders, have taken home virtually every top accolade of the cocktail world, as chosen by the industry standard-bearer, Tales of the Cocktail: Bartender of the Year, Best American Cocktail Bar, World's Best Drinks Selection, to name a few. Dead Rabbit was opened in 2013 in lower Manhattan by two down-to-earth Irishmen, Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, who started out as neighborhood bartenders before making a name for themselves at the 5-star Merchant Hotel bar in Belfast.
