Siberia's "Swan lake"
Beautifully captured vid from the Siberian Times showing us some Whooper Swans bursting with activity in a place you would not expect to find them as it can get extremely cold. This Siberian lake's real name - Svetloe - meaning 'Clear Lake', is a very special lake since the water is always kept above zero, even in sub-zero temps, thanks to it being fed by the many warm springs. Even when the air goes down to a bone-chilling minus 40C, the water in the lake stays at around plus 5C or 6C.
These amazing snow-white swans are said to land here every December...
