Riding 150mph with no helmet !
Don't even think of trying this! This was not a very smart thing to do but luckily, this guy didn't get hurt. This is what your face would look like while going 150 mph on a bike - without a helmet, so imagine what your face would look like if it hit the road at that speed! But if you thought 150 mph was bad, how about over 450 mph? Astonishingly, NASA did a scientific test in this field in the 1940s, going all the way up to 457mph. (See second vid after 'read more'.)
The National Advisory Commission for Aeronautics scientists conducted this test for the Navy in 1946 at Langley Research Center's eight-foot High Speed Tunnel. The legendary John Stapp took the blasts to the face in the name of science.
According to this 1949 Navy release, Stapp took 457 mph winds for no longer than a single second. The 436 mph test was also one second, whereas all the other wind speeds were two seconds long.
