NASA Launches New Website - See EARTH From SPACE - Everyday!

Snapshot of New website

Thanks to NASA, we can now view images of the sunlit Earth every day with its recently launched new website.

Each daily sequence of images will show the Earth as it rotates, thus revealing the whole globe over the course of a day,” NASA says in a statement. The images are taken by NASA’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC).

The images are taken by a NASA camera located one million miles away on the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR). NASA says that once a day it will post at least a dozen new color images of the earth that were taken 12 to 36 hours earlier.
The goal of the DSCOVR mission is to maintain the capability of the U.S. to provide real-time solar wind monitoring which allow for accurate space weather alerts and forecasts.

22 Images from Oct. 17th, 2015 have been compiled to show one full rotation. (looped several times)
