Vincent has stopped caring about much of anything. He drinks and gambles heavily. He angrily dares telemarketers to try selling him something. Vincent’s life changes when a single mother and her 12-year-old son (Melissa McCarthy and Jaeden Lieberher) move into the house next door, and Vincent ends up providing after-school day care for the kid, teaching him how to lay racetrack bets and sucker-punch a bully.
