New species of Galapagos giant tortoise identified

A new giant tortoise species was discovered on the Galapagos Islands by a team of Ecuadorian and international scientists. Unfortunately, there are only a few hundred of them left. The newly identified species were given the name "Chelonoidis donfaustoi," in honour of Fausto Llerena, the caretaker of Lonesome George, a male Pinta Island tortoise and the last known survivor of his species...
