New species of Galapagos giant tortoise identified
A new giant tortoise species was discovered on the Galapagos Islands by a team of Ecuadorian and international scientists. Unfortunately, there are only a few hundred of them left. The newly identified species were given the name "Chelonoidis donfaustoi," in honour of Fausto Llerena, the caretaker of Lonesome George, a male Pinta Island tortoise and the last known survivor of his species...

Large tortoise lets himself into the house
It may have taken him a while but slow and steady gets the job done. This smart tortoise wanted to get inside the house but the patio door was slide shut so he did what any smart tortoise would do under the circumstances - why he unslide the door of course and let himself in...
