Some robotic reindeer you say? And why not. Lol. The folks over at the American robotics company, Boston Dynamics, would like to wish us all Happy Holidays via this video of Santa Claus being pulled by three of its robotic reindeer aka 'Spot' dogs...

MIT cheetah robot lands the running jump

One small step for mankind, one giant leap for robots... Back in September we featured the Robotic Cheetah that could run, well, just like a real cheetah. Now those fine folks over at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, have 'programmed' this robotic cheetah to successfully jump and land over objects...

Robotic insects make first controlled flight

So that's what those guys over at Harvard have been up to for the last decade, lol...

The demonstration of the first controlled flight of an insect-sized robot is the culmination of more than a decade's work, led by researchers at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard. Half the size of a paperclip, weighing less than a tenth of a gram, the robot was inspired by the biology of a fly, with submillimeter-scale anatomy and two wafer-thin wings that flap almost invisibly, 120 times per second.
