The Real Miami Vice

The video was actually a trailer for a failed reality series show on the Miami Police department called "Miami Blue, the Real Miami Vice" by Coconut Grove-based Entertainment Dynamix. The reality show was never picked up by a network but it caught the eye of the president of the police union, Lt. Javier Ortiz, when he discovered it online recently.

Now the video has caused resentment over its sexist depiction of female officers in bikini with one in particular who was filmed tanning on the beach, and sometimes wearing a badge stuck to her bikini.

According to Lt. Javier Ortiz, two years ago when he asked then police chief Manuel Orosa about the video, he was told that it was for 'recruitment purposes'.
