Canadian Guy Wins Farthest journey by hoverboard - Guinness World Records
The machine for this real-life hoverboard was built and designed by Catalin Alexandru Duru himself, the guy who won the Guinness World Records Title for the Farthest Journey by Hoverboard. Yes, they have a category for that. He hovered a distance of 275.9 m (905 ft 2 in) at Lake Ouareau in Quebec, Canada on 25 August 2014. The distance is equivalent to roughly about two full-sized football pitches...

The first real-life hoverboard. The machine was built and designed by me, Catalin Alexandru Duru. I am the first man to create and fly a working prototype.
I will showcase that stable flight can be achieved with a machine one can stand on and control with their feet, just like in the movie "Back to the Future Part II". In our case, the machine is propeller-based.
The prototype can be used anywhere, but is usually tested over water because of how dangerously high it can fly (which is ironic considering that the movie joked that it can't).

Canadian Naked jogger upsets neighbours
Take that winter! There's a Canadian jogger running around upsetting the fine folks of Montreal as he has been spotted several times in the past few months in Montreal's l'Île-de-la-Visitation park...
The male jogger, seen wearing only running shoes and a tuque, has been spotted several times in the past few months in Montreal's l'Île-de-la-Visitation park.
One resident, who had already filed a complaint with police after spotting the man five times, shot a video of the robe-less runner on March 9, when the temperature in Montreal was below zero.
The runner showed up at around 4 a.m. ET, around the same time he's always been spotted.
More than one resident has complained about the man to police, and a neighbour who contacted Radio-Canada said it appeared the concerns weren't being taken seriously. - cbc.ca

Canadian Driver Inadvertently Captured on Film in Off-Road Crash in Bolivia
He's 64-year-old Matt Campbell and one of the few Canadians to race in the off-road Dakar Rally in the Bolivian desert.
Last week, in the desert, travelling at close to 200 km/h, Calgarian Campbell and two of his El Martillo Racing teammates – Luis ‘Fito’ Ramirez and navigator Nico Ambriz – flipped their vehicle over and over several times - and it was all captured on film.
They were hurt and taken to a South American hospital but only suffered minor injuries.
“The race car was moving at a speed of 174 km/h when suddenly they found the water cut five feet deep …There was not much to do but hang on and resist the crash,” reads a post on the team’s Facebook page. “At the 50-kilometre mark on the road book of the seventh stage, the first part of the marathon stage, the water crossing where the accident happened was marked as ‘Danger 2’, when in fact it should’ve (been marked) ‘Danger 4’ at least.” “It’s surreal,” said Palmai. “It was by the grace of God that they walked out of there.”
