Heartwarming Rescue of Fox Cub in a Drain in England

We guess it's not just North America we hear about foxes moving into urban territories. This poor cub was discovered stuck in a drain in the Cooden Beach area 0f East Sussex, England...

“At first we were unsure where the cub was as there were multiple pipes leading in different directions. We used a mobile phone to film inside the pipes, as well as drainage rods, hose pipe and insulation for pipes to try checking the pipes and potentially push the cub to the drain entrance 2.5ft underground. We were amazed that the vixen turned up whilst we were trying to find the cub and it was almost as if she knew we were trying to rescue her cub” said Chris.

Rescuers could hear the cub and eventually came to the conclusion, that the cub must be in the only section of pipe they couldn’t get rods or pipes into. “We didn't want to give up, and we knew that if the cub was left it would die. After spending 90 minutes trying to get to the cub we came to realize we had no choice but to play the waiting game. It is common for cubs to make their way back towards the entrance they came in from, so we decided to back off take a break and then try again.

Pregnant Dog Buried For Two Days Found Alive

A pregnant dog in Russia nicknamed Belka was rescued alive after being buried and left to die - all thanks to a guy who refused to let her cries go unheeded. In the Russian town of Voronezh, city workers repaired a patch in the sidewalk where a sinkhole had formed weeks earlier and in doing so, somehow ended up entombing the dog under the building's front steps...

In the days that followed, residents Vadim Rustam and his wife Aleksandra were alarmed to hear the sound of barking below the freshly-laid bricks, so they appealed to the city's housing authority for assistance. After being told that nothing could be done to help, Rustam took matters into his own hands.

We were shocked,” Aleksandra said. We rushed to ask the neighbors what had happened. They only told us that the workers had fixed the hole...

I don't believe that they just failed to notice the dog. It's not a hamster. The workers probably just didn't want to make an effort and retrieve the animal. The neighbors also proved to be indifferent. They understood the poor creature got trapped. But who wants to waste their time, getting their hands dirty? No one cared."

**While two different sources gave different outcomes of the unborn puppies' fate (one saying they died the other saying they survived), one thing is for sure, Belka is alive and doing well today because of one man's compassion and kind heart!

Woman in wedding dress gives drowning man resuscitation

This video of a bride trying to resuscitate a man who drowned has been viralling. The young nurse is being named the 'prettiest bride' by Chinese media ...

Guo Yuanyuan, 25, was shooting her wedding photos on a beach in Dalian, north east China, when she heard a man had drowned, reported People's Daily Online.

She rushed to the scene and tried to resuscitate the man. Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, he eventually died.

After the man, who was spotted in distress, was rescued by onlookers, he was already unconscious and seemed to have suffered a heart attack.  No one knew how to perform CPR. About 100 feet away, Guo Yuanyuan, who was a cardiac nurse at a local hospital, happened to be shooting her wedding photographs on the same beach. Without thinking, she jumped off a three foot ledge and rushed to the scene while still wearing her wedding gown. She then proceeded to perform CPR on the man as well as giving him mouth to mouth resuscitation for over 20 minutes.In the process of saving the man, Guo had ruined her wedding dress, spoilt her make-up and broke her nails. Despite her sorry state, witnesses applauded the nurse's determination.

Severe flooding hits eastern Japan

Japan was experiencing its share of floods and lots of scary footages were coming out of houses being washed away as heavy rains hit them for a second day in a row from tropical storm Etau. Residents were left stranded on rooftops and Japanese military helicopters had to rescue dozens and had a hard time keeping up with the demands...

Just after midnight early Thursday (Japan time), the Japan Meteorological Agency issued an emergency warning for heavy rainfall in Tochigi Prefecture, north of Tokyo, where more than 20 inches of rain fell in 24 hours in some locations. The cameraman was driving and pulled over for 3 guys with the broken car. While they were talking, they spotted something struggling in the river. A bystander, Ivan of 21 years, jumped in and rescued that stray dog. When they got to the shore, the dog was scared and took off. Ivan works at the local wood cutting company. He was not accepted into military due to his heart condition, but still jumped into the freezing water.

Ivan warmed up a bit in the car and then asked the guys to buy him some vodka to warm up more. They drove to the groceries where they saw the dog again. It was a sign from above. They bought some vodka for Ivan, sausage for the dog, named him Rex, and Ivan took him. Let's wish long years for both of them. We rescued this young eight months old calf early this week. Luckily the report came in early in the morning and we were able to get there quick before the mother was forced to leave by herders arriving to water their cattle. It was a happy ending as we were able to reunite the calf with her mother, Zombe.
